Learn To Ice Skate

Is your child interested in learning to play ice hockey but has never laced on a pair of skates? To learn how to play, you must first start with the very basics of skating. We have a 7 week course designed to teach the basic fundamentals of hockey skating. This program has four levels in which skaters will learn how to maneuver on hockey skates faster and improve agility on the ice and handling a hockey stick. All elements are taught without a puck.

If your child is already familiar with the basics of skating, please contact the hockey director, at hockeydirector@midhudsonciviccenter.org to discuss starting with step 2: Learn to Play.
